DAY 1 

Meet and greet at Guatemala city airport. Transfer to hotel, 15 mins approx. Welcome Cocktail during check in. Dinner at Local restaurant

Overnight in Biltmore Express Hotel Guatemala city in Standard room

 

DAY 2

05:30 Transfer to Airport

06:30 fly to Flores (1 hour)

08:00 Breakfast in Flores

After breakfast transfer to Biological Station Las Guacamayas by 4x4 vehicles. Lunch and dinner at Guacamayas. After lunch guests will use their time as they wish to explore the wildlife of the area including night walks.

Overnight in Biological Station of Guacamaya in dorms style rooms, shared toilets and showers

 

DAY 3

Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner at Guacamayas. Today guests will have the opportunity to explore the jungle with support of Viaventure guide and local specialist from the Guacamayas station. In addition, guests will make a trip to el Peru archeological site where they will have more opportunities to see more wild life.

DAY 4

Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner at Guacamayas. Today guests will have the opportunity to explore the jungle with support of Viaventure guide and local specialist from the Guacamayas station. In addition, guests will make a trip to el Peru archeological site where they will have more opportunities to see more wild life.

DAY 5

Early morning exploration with local specialist. Breakfast at the station

10:00 am approx transfer to Flores. Lunch in Flores

Visit to ARCAS wildlife rehabilitation center. ARCAS is a non-profit Guatemalan NGO formed in 1989 by a group of Guatemalan citizens who became

concerned as they saw their precious natural heritage - especially their wildlife-rapidly disappearing before their eyes. It was originally created for a very specific and urgent purpose: to build a rescue center to care for and rehabilitate wild animals that were being confiscated on the black market by the Guatemalan government. Since its establishment, the ARCAS Rescue Center has grown into one of the largest and most complex rescue centers in the world, receiving between 300 and 600 animals of more than 40 species per year.

16:00 transfer to Tikal National park. Dinner at hotel in Tikal

DAY 6

Guided early morning walks in Tikal area. 

Tikal (City of Voices) – The World famous Mayan temple ruins at Tikal. Know as the “New York of the Maya World” for its spectacular temples that rise above the dense jungle canopy. The Petén Region and the Maya Forest are home to an impressive diversity of flora and fauna across its various terrestrial and freshwater habitats. More than 2000 higher plants, including 200 tree species have been inventoried. Palms, epiphytes, orchids and bromeliads abound in the various forest types. The more than 100 mammals include over 60 species of bat, five species of felids - Jaguar, Puma, Ocelot, Margay and Jaguarundi, as well as Mantled Howler Monkey and many endangered species such as Yucatan Spider Monkey and Baird's Tapir. The more than 330 recorded bird species include the near - threatened Ocellated Turkey, Crested Eagle and Ornate Hawk - Eagle, as well as the vulnerable Great Curassow. Of the more than 100 reptiles the endangered Central American River Turtle, Morelet's Crocodile and 38 species of snakes stand out. In addition to 25 known amphibian species, there is a noteworthy fish fauna and a great diversity of invertebrates. The region is also known for wild varieties of several important agricultural plants.

DAY 7

Guided early morning walk in Tikal area. Breakfast at hotel

Transfer to Cayo Distric, Belize (3 hours approximate). Lunch at local restaurant on route. Arrive at private 365 acres of rainforest reserve and check in. Once at the property our guide will be available for guest to do any of the following activities: Natural history center, butterfly farm, ruta maya trail, canoeing,

rainforest medicine trail and natural hikes. 

Dinner at Camp. Overnight at Macal River Camp

 

DAY 8

Guided early morning walk opportunities available. Breakfast at Macal River Camp

Guided excursion to Barton Creek Cave - Guests take a leisurely ride to the Barton Creek Cave. Equipped with Canoes and high powered lights guests gently

paddle along the river into the cave system known as Xibalba (she-bal-ba), Maya for underworld. Stalactites and Stalagmites hang high overhead as you float past impressive calcite crystal formations. In addition to exploring the caves our guide will make sure to stop in areas where there might be a possibility to spot wildlife.

Lunch at local restaurant. Pm visit to Iguanas Conservation project in San Ignacio. Transfer back to hotel and time for optional available tour such as night walks and natural hikes on the reserve

Overnight at Macal River Camp

 

DAY 9 - 11

Guided early morning hikes in Chaa Creek private reserve. Breakfast at camp. Transfer to Belize City by land (3hr) and 45 minute from Belize City to Lamanai Lodge by boat

Lunch for day 9, breakfast/lunch/dinner for day 10, breakfast/lunch/dinner for day 11 will be at Lamanai Lodge

Our guide will be available at all times

For the next couple of days guest can chose from any of the available activities focus on wild life such as: Wildlife in Mayan site, crocodile encounter, sunset airboat safari, early morning hikes and night hikes.

 

DAY 12

Guided early morning option hikes

Breakfast at Chaa Creek

In schedule/collective boat transfer to tower area (1 hour). Scheduled/collective transfer to Belize International (1 hours)

Hotel staff will welcome them at airport and assist with check in

DAY 13

American breakfast at hotel

The Half day snorkel at Hol Chan Marine and Shark Alley reserve will be guided by a local guide. The Hol Chan Marine Reserve is divided into three ecological

zones and a fourth zone added because of its special attraction. In the reef channel a large about of fish and steep corals are found. In other areas encompasses the lagoon type of habitat and grass beds. The reserve also offers the shark ray alley where nurse sharks and southern sting rays are found. Due to its proximity to San Pedro the Hol Chan reserve is the most popular diving/ snorkeling site in Central America.–guide’s services is for the tour only. Free pm. Dinner on guests own account. DAY 14

Transfer to airport for flight home.
