WONDERFUL WILDLIFE OF VIETNAM
Day 1 : Hanoi arrival
Arrival and welcome at the Hanoi Airport. Transfer to hotel. The room is at your disposal at 2.00pm. Spend the balance of day free at leisure. Meals on your own. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 2 : Hanoi city tour (B)
We will spend a full-day tour to explore Vietnam’s capital city, including Ho Chi Minh’s Mausoleum (closed on every Monday and Friday), his traditional stilt house, the One-Pillar Pagoda, and the thousand-year-old Temple of Literature also known as the First University of Vietnam. In the afternoon, visit the Ethnology Museum (closed on every Monday) where you can learn about the costumes, customers and daily life of Vietnam’s 54 ethnic groups; Old Quarter Streets and Hoan Kiem Lake vicinity of Hanoi. In the evening, enjoy a traditional water puppet show – a unique Vietnamese Art form hailing from Southeast Asia’s wet-rice culture. Meals on your own. Overnight at the hotel. Remark: Ho Chi Minh’s Mausoleum closes from 08 September to 08 November for annual maintenance. Easia Travel will arrange the visit outside.
Day 3 : Hanoi - Van Long Nature Reserve - Ninh Binh (B,L)
Today we will drive out of town to Nho Quan – Van Long. Enjoy the beautiful landscape and take the opportunity to make some photos of the endless rice fields bordered by the mountain ranges. Upon arrival at a typical local house, we take a rest here then enjoy a special local lunch prepared by the host family. This is a great possibility to join the real life in Vietnam. After lunch time and some relaxation, get on your bike and cycling along the dike which one side is bordered by lovely Hoang Long river and the other by immense rice fields. Following this experience, you will board on a traditional sampan rowing boat to get deeper into the Van Long Nature Reserve to observe the Ardeola bacchus, Egretta garzetta… which are generally called as white storks by locals… Van Long is a great place to observe migrating raptors (especially during spring and autumn) and it is also the only known breeding site for the magnificent Bonelli’s Eagle in Vietnam. In the late afternoon, check in to your hotel. Dinner on your own and overnight at the hotel.
Day 4 : Ninh Binh - Halong Bay (B,L,D)
We leave Ninh Binh this morning and head straight to Halong bay a stunning UNESCO World Heritage site with its 3,000 islands of towering limestone dotting the bay and Gulf of Tonkin (250km - 4 - 4.5 hour driving). After arriving at noon, you will board a beautiful boat for an overnight cruise on Halong Bay with an excellent menu of fresh seafood. Lunch and dinner are served on boat. Overnight on board.
Day 5 : Halong Bay - Hanoi - Nha Trang (B)
Wake up early in the morning to enjoy aquamarine water of the bay at its best. After tea break, the boat continue to cruise quietly through spectacular limestone formations of Halong Bay. Enjoy this more isolated bay’s spectacular and unique islands of the bay. Return to Halong harbour after a brunch for transfer directly to Hanoi Airport passing vast expanses of rice fields in the Red river delta. Stop en route to visit a pottery village. Fly directly to Nha Trang where you will be welcomed and transferred to your hotel. Meals on your own. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 6 : Nha Trang diving (B,L)
Today we start at 8.00 am from the hotel to Cau Da port for a joint in diving tour. Cruise to Mun & Mot islands, where you stop for diving & snorkeling around these islands. You can try 2 dives for the tour, which is 45 minutes per dive. The distance between 2 dives about 2-3 hours, depending on escorted diving instructor & guests’ health status. Light Lunch, tea, coffee will be served on boat after the first dive. Enjoy the panorama of the sea, the whole collection of live sea creatures in Nhatrang bay, especially view the beautiful live coral reefs at the sea bottom. Transferred back to the hotel at around 4pm. Dinner on your own. Overnight at the hotel. Note: This tour package is only applicable for Certified divers. Non-certified divers are on request.
Day 7 : Nha Trang Free Day (B)
Spend the day at leisure to explore the city or simply relaxing at one of the most beautiful tropical beaches in Vietnam. Meals on your own. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 8 : Nha Trang - Da Lat (B) - 200km, 6 hours driving
We leave Nha Trang this morning for a transfer for Da Lat (200km – 6hours driving). Known as the city of Eternal Spring, located in the South-central highlands, Da Lat was known as escape gateway for the French who built their villas perched on the mountain. Da Lat offers crisp mountain air, beautiful surrounding forests and lakes. We will make several stops on the way for taking photo, enjoying the panorama and a visit to the Cham towers of Pokhlong. Arrival at your hotel in the late afternoon. The evening is free at leisure to wander around at the Central Market. Meals on your own. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 9 : Da Lat Sightseeing (B)
This morning we set out for a visiting of Dalat. Firstly stop at Prenn Waterfall to enjoy cool mountain air and undisturbed virgin forests. Nearby is K’long Mountain Village, the fatherland of ethnic minority groups who are very skillful at making decorations from soft wood. Keep on our journey further to Datanla Waterfall, 5 km to the south of Dalat. We will take a cable car to the summit of Phuong Hoang Mount to visit Truc Lam Zen Meditation, next to the largest lake in Dalat, Tuyen Lam while immersing in the amazing sight. In the afternoon, continue our trip at Crazy House which has most unusual architecture and offers a thrilling feeling as walking inside. Round off your day at XQ Embroidery Gallery which offers a fascinating authentic showcase of the rich and ancient culture of Vietnam if you are interested in. Meals on your own. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 10 : Da Lat - Nam Cat Tien (B,L,D)
This morning, continue our journey towards the Cat Tien National Park which is about 190 km away from Da Lat (4 hours driving). Nam Cat Tien is reported to have 600 varieties of plants, 240 types of birds and 50 species of mammals, including the one-horn Javan rhinoceros, one of several endangered mammals from Vietnam listed in the World Red Book. Upon arrival at the park, transfer to the Forest Floor Lodge for check in. In the afternoon, cycling to the village of ethnic people, 13 km each way. Visit a family, having refreshment and touring in the village. Returning in late afternoon to catch the opportunity to see the wild life. Meals and overnight at the lodge.
Day 11 : Nam Cat Tien Park (B,L,D)
From Forest Floor Lodge the trail starts opposite the entrance and takes you through a well used track with good examples of large trees (Lagerstroemiaor Banglang and the well-known Thung or Tetramelestree) with palms and cycads in the under-storey. If you look up into the canopy you will see ferns and orchids; lianas, and strangler vines are abundant. As with many trails, this is best walked in the early morning, before it becomes too hot and other people arrive, or in the late afternoon. Good possibilities of seeing pittas, partridge and other bird species. After lunch, visit the Dao Tien Endangered Primate Species Centre. Retun to the Lodge at about 16.30. Dinner and overnight at the lodge.
Day 12 : Nam Cat Tien Park - Ho Chi Minh City (B,L) - 160 km, 3 hours driving
Early morning walk through Botanic Garden to Heaven Rapids. This walk gives you the good chance to see the primates and plenty of opportunities to see the wide variety of birds and other jungle life. On retuning to the Lodge at about 08:00 for breakfast. You then will have a couple hours relaxing at our viewing platform, looking to the river and bird watching, and listerning to the gibbons singing. At 11:00 you will be taken by the golf car to the Bear Rescue Centre to see them from the viewing platform. The aim of the Dao Tien Endangered Primate Species Centre and this Centre is to rescue and rehabilitate endangered primates/ bears and when appropriate release the back into the forests of Cat Tien National Park. Go to the ferry, cross the river for departure at around noon. A packed lunch will be provided. Transfer back to Ho Chi Minh City. Check in your hotel and spend time at leisure. Dinner on your own. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 13 : Cu Chi Tunnels - Ho Chi Minh Sightseeing (B)
After breakfast, depart for Cu Chi where you will visit the amazing tunnel network built by Vietnamese fighters during the American War. Return to Ho Chi Minh City in the late morning. After lunch break (your expense), we will set out to visit the former French colonial capital – Ho Chi Minh City or also called as Saigon by many locals. Main historical sites include Old Saigon Post Office, Notre Dame Cathedral, Opera House. Round off your day at famous Ben Thanh market where you can look at something for souvenirs. The evening is free at leisure. Meals on your own. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 14 : Ho Chi Minh City Departure (B)
Explore hustle and bustle Ho Chi Minh City as you wish to until your transferred to airport for departure flight. Room is at disposal until noon time only. Meals on your own. Service ends.
